Every resident has the right to expect the following:
- To be treated with respect and dignity.
- To have privacy, independence and choice as far as practicable.
- To be cared for by appropriately skilled staff and to be given a clear explanation of any treatment or care procedure.
- To live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment.
- To expect that assessed needs are met.
- To form and/or participate in, or speak at Residents' Committee Meetings.
- To have access to their health care records and to know the staff are under a duty to keep the contents confidential.
- To have any complaints dealt with in accordance with the EACH complaint procedure, a copy of which will be given to you on admission.
- To have their normal call bells answered within 6 minutes.
